Kampala Polytechnic Mengo (KPM) is a leading private technical institution in Uganda.
It was established in 1994 with a primary objective of providing hands-on vocational training in various applied and industrial sciences to meet the need for professional manpower resources.
KPM offers a wide range of technical courses to prepare students for work and also further education.

KPM has three (3) different programmes for lectures.
The Day Programme
This programme is run on a two semester basis in each academic year lectures for the programme start at 8:00 am and end at 3:15pm Monday to Friday each week.
The Evening Programme.
This programme is also on a two semester basis each academic year Lectures start at 5:00 pm and end at 9:15pm from Mondays to Fridays each week. On Saturday lectures start at 8:00am and end at 4: 15 Pm.
The Weekend Programme
This programme is strictly for Diploma and Higher diploma students. It is run on a two semester basis and lectures are held only on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

COURSES OFFERED
KPM offers a wide range of technical courses ranging from Certificate, Diploma and Higher Diploma courses. All courses are locally examined by either the Uganda Business & Technical Examination Board (UBTEB) or Directorate of Industrial training (DIT).

Intake for Diploma/Higher Diploma courses is in August/September.
Intake is for all Certificate courses is in February/March
